The fairies have flown: mission fairy party complete

Greetings folks!

Our Fairy birthday party was a success! All the little girls came dressed up as beautiful fairies they fluttered around and danced among the flowers..and our xbox kinect was a big hit ;)

Unfortunately I did not take a lot of pictures, because I was down to the last second in finishing up things..that's my life.

I thought I would show you a few of what I did remember to take ;)
________________________________________________________________

I made each girl a flowered headband to wear. Just simple headbands with flowers glued pointing forward.

Each girl had a choice of a purple or pink wand. Each wand I glued in stages wrapping ribbon, attaching flowers and gems in center, I saw a picture on the web that was similar and I liked how they turned out.

My daughters wand was slightly larger, of course ;P

I decorated the cake table with these pink gems I found in the flower section, of course I got 30 cupcakes..so I am still eating those...today...

And these are the fairies that attended the party, of course I had to cover their lovely faces but you can see my little fairy sitting to the back.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures of "Janes Macro Life"

Now back to .....the little things ;)

  4. It looks like fun was had by all! Great idea with the headbands and wands, it's something each young girl can take home to remember the party by. Remember by I mean you did make your own set so when everyone is out of the house you can wear your own and play in the garden right!?!?!

  7. Hello Jane! I like the party photos and I bet the little girls just LOVED the wands and the headbands! Birthday parties for little girls are very different from when I was young. My mom made a birthday cake and we had ice cream and punch and everybody brought a gift, which we opened and played with. When my daughter was of an age. I bought a cake, no one had any, they ate the ice cream and drank the punch and the gifts were often money in an envelope. Everyone went into the rec room and played video games and then went home. My daughter is now 19 and thankfully, she throws her own birthday celebrations to which I am Not invited. Whew, what a relief! Yes times have changed but,I think that the 'not eating any cake' part still is in vogue judging from the left-over cupcakes. Pass me one, too will ya? They look really good!

  8. Congratulations on your daughter. You have made a great fairy theme. Your daughter and all guests must be so happy. It's really much you have done out of the day. I love the little hair bands and small water lilies and cakes. Very very well done. You are every child's "wish mom".
You must be proud of yourself and your efforts.

  11. SO FUN! We had parties the same day. :) But mine was Superheroes. I would love to have a girl just to throw girly parties.

I needed to sleep like a long haul trucker, too. And two weekends in a row were like that!!!

Can I come to your next fairy party??!!
