uhhhh...raisin time: creators block 2

Yeah I did tell you my ideas might dry up a bit....

Its funny, as I read a lot of my regular blogs I see the same thing..."Oh I haven't posted in a while". Must be the Easter rush burnt us out?

I try to create miniatures that you have not seen so much, or more of a different perspective on the standard baking table/scene/furniture..plant ;)

I thought of doing a potting bench scene, maybe a wheel barrel scene. I though of tying my hand at another miniature garden, I see a lot of these being done..meh

Its going to be 66 degrees/19 celsius here today, in the woods, and for the last weeks of winter chill that is pretty damn warm!

SO I have decided to go outside and weed and prep my garden, its close to considering peas and early spring veggies.

I will be getting my tote of supplies together my old straw hat .....and...uhh...

Holy crap! I think I found my next project *wink*

  2. Glad to hear you guys are warming up! We had some outdoor time, too. :)

I think creators block gets all of us a bit, here and there. No motivation to mini here, which is a bummer, since the Undersized Urbanite house needs to be done in less than a month!!!!!!!!

  3. Well, I only have a balcony to organize, two flower boxes, and a fairy garden. Looking forward to your next project. I think I suspect what it might be. I'll keep the secret and wait and see. Have fun in your garden!

  4. We bought a rake, a pitchfork, and a trowel, for our own little diminutive garden yesterday! (We're not buying seeds until May). The previous tenants planted a tomato plant and a wild strawberry bush. I'm going to plant some spinach. Mark wants to plant crocuses in the front yard. Our little boxed in garden in the back yard is probably 3 feet square! If I lived near you I'd come and help you work in your garden and we'd can up a storm :)

    1. Don't forget you can always expand your garden by using pots, tomatoes do pretty well in pots;)

  6. I know it's early but I got blooms on my pumpkin plant! Then I noticed the PVC piping that feeds to the garden crapped out and has to be replaced. 8-/ So mini garden for me unless it's potted. Enjoy the warm weather.

  7. Look forward to seeing your next project. It is funny reading all the blog entries about everyone waiting for spring and getting excited about improving weather and getting in the garden. We are the opposite here in New Zealand. We have had some lovely hot weather and now the days are starting to get cooler as we head into winter.

  9. I think we all have to take a break from minis from time to time. Although I'm sure you'll have tons of ideas in no time! Can't wait what you come up with!
Also I left you an award on my blog, you can find it here: http://illyriasminiatures.blogspot.com/

Hoping you get rid of your creators block soon!

  10. Hi Jane! Here in Vancouver, Canada we have had a long wet winter! Now it is just dreary and wet instead of being freezing cold, dreary and wet! Things are looking up!

  11. I picked up an old printed set of seed packets at one of the local shows a few years back but have yet to put it together. I might just have to dig it out of the box now! :D
